Surface Transforms celebrates 1000 accident-free days

On 23rd January 2022, Surface Transforms PLC achieved the significant milestone of 1000 days without a lost time accident/injury or RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations) incident.

A large part of this success can be attributed to Kerry Wood who joined Surface Transforms as Quality Manager in 2017. She has implemented and maintained a Health and Safety Management System that has become embedded across the business.  Now, as the company’s SHEQ Manager she works together with her team, continually striving to reinforce the company-wide commitment towards health and safety on site, protecting staff and guests in all areas.

Kerry Wood, SHEQ Manager said “This milestone reflects the achievements of the entire Surface Transforms team in maintaining such strong safety-aware practices and procedures.  It is encouraging that everyone is being conscientious and proactive in creating and sustaining a safe working environment.  It is vital that we now continue to make safety a top priority and by working together we can further enhance this successful culture.”  Having attained ISO 45001 in early 2021, the Company has demonstrated that it actively facilitates continuous improvement of health and safety performance and repeatedly addresses health and safety issues.  This can only have been achieved with the support and co-operation of the team.
